Farmer-Led Presentations

Schedule of Farmer-Led Presentations
Join our farmers for five educational and fun farm fact filled talks!

Each presentation will be approximately 15 minutes long and led by one of our fun and knowledgeable farmers.

Our farmers will be at each station from 10AM - 2PM - attend the talks in any order you'd like!

Plant a Pumpkin!
We're bringing back the popular "plant a pumpkin" activity that was the most loved part of spring field trips. Discover the magic of the pumpkin life cycle firsthand! Students will learn how pumpkins grow from seed to harvest. Each participant will even have the chance to plant their very own pumpkin in our fields.

The Role of Pollination in the Lifecycle of a Strawberry
Meet in the strawberry fields to learn the importance of pollination.

How is the Washington State Corn Maze created?
Did you know Swans Trail Farms is home to the first corn maze in Washington State? And that Farmer Ben still plans and cuts it the same way he did over 20 years ago? Join this farmer-led talk to learn the history of our maze and take a behind the scenes look at how the maze is created from planting, to cutting, to setting up all the signs and props.
